TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA

Home of the Wabash River and the REA Park Golf Course,

and once a year several hovercrafts gather to race and cruise!!

Although I have no pictures of the racing on Saturday, the following are pictures of the 2 short cruises everyone was brave enough to venture out in.
Here's Vernon pulling back up on the landing....flying the SC23.
Although the wind and rain persisted, most everyone had a light heart about it and readied themselves for the first short cruise...DOWNSTREAM!
One of the Questreks leaving for the cruise...
Downriver, the water was low, sandbars very evident, allowing some free time to spin around on the bars if you wished.
  Finders keepers???
Apparently someone did a little too much 'mudding' on a sandbar adjacent to the river.......and the river won!
Ducks thought this was a great game to play......lots of rain, wind and sun and a blast occasionally from the hovercrafts!
  A stop along the Wabash....
Finally, arriving at Clinton for a bite to eat at the Dairy Stop!

Anyone having any pictures of Terry Chapman being thrown out of the SCAT or pictures of the hover flying backwards into the fence during racing on Saturday, I would appreciate greatly getting a copy. Please email me if you wish to do so.
